Social networking sites are always the mainstay for communication between students and faculty, both inside and outside the classroom. Previously, phone calls and e-mails were used for communication. But, now with social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter collaboration has become more accessible. Professors have found assigning tasks and sharing information through these platforms much helpful in completing the given project. Like other technologies, social media must be used with care. It should always serve as an asset, not a distraction for students. However, with careful usage and the right strategy, it helps students learn better.
